Deramaxx® is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID)Deramaxx is used in dogs to control pain and inflammation. It’s particularly effective against osteoarthritis, a degenerative disease that affects your dog’s joints. It is available as beef-flavored, scored, chewable tablets. Deramaxx works by reducing substances that cause pain, inflammation, and fever in the body. Deramaxx is used to reduce pain associated with surgery or dental procedures. Deramaxx is also used for the treatment of inflammation and stiffness as a result of conditions such as arthritis or hip dysplasia. Deramaxx may also be used for purposes other than those listed in this guide.

Side effects of Deramaxx
|
|
Contact the veterinarian
if the pet has abdominal pain,
tenderness, or discomfort; bloody, black
or tarry stools or blood in vomit;
unexplained weight gain; water
retention; fatigue or lethargy; skin
rash; itching; yellowing of eyes;
unusual bruising or bleeding as these
symptoms could indicate serious side
effects. If any of the following serious
side effects occur, stop giving Deramaxx
and seek emergency veterinary medical
attention; an allergic reaction
(difficulty breathing; swelling of the
lips; tongue or face; hives). Other less
serious side effects may occur. Continue
giving Deramaxx and talk to your
veterinarian if your pet experiences
flatulence or diarrhea; dizziness;
headache; or insomnia. Other side
effects may also occur. Talk to your
veterinarian about any side effect that
seems unusual or bothersome to the
animal.
